As a therapist, I see my role as helping kids and teens develop a sense of self and belonging and at the same time, building in them the confidence and courage to spread their wings and fly.
Children
Growing up is important work but it can be hard at times. Many children experience intense feelings that they struggle to understand, process and communicate. This can lead to sadness, anxiety, irritability, and difficulty in regulating their emotions and behaviors. I can help with a range of concerns including anxiety, school refusal, depression/sadness, social skills, friendship and peer relationships.
I work with every family to develop an individualized plan for each child based on their specific needs, strengths, and goals. I incorporate a variety of techniques based on each family and child’s individual needs including play, CBT techniques, psychoeducation, etc. Sometimes, the best thing a therapist can do is be a consistent, trusted adult that your child can feel safe with and confide in. Let me help be that person for your child!
Teens
Outside of infancy, adolescence is one of the biggest times of growth and transformation - socially, physically, emotionally, and intellectually. There are many ups and downs to navigate as your child develops their unique sense of self, purpose and identity. I see my role as helping your child (and you) navigate this complex time in your teen’s life. I provide a safe, non judgemental space for teens to explore their unique experiences and feelings while also teaching important skills and strategies to help them move into adulthood.
Areas of focus include anxiety, stress, depression, school refusal, peer and family relationships.

If we’re a good fit to work together, we’ll schedule a 50-minute intake session. In that session, we will get to know each other and make a plan for your/your child’s/your teen’s time in therapy.
step three
I will meet weekly with your child/teen in my Greenbrae office or virtually. The length of therapy depends on you and your goals.
